I have hiked the John Muir Trail for 25 consecutive years, the last ten times going out and back in a single season. I will happily share my trail expertise about my favorite part of the Sierra – and a story or two… I provide logistical support and trip planning. Contact me!
The John Muir Trail
The John Muir Trail (JMT) was created on May 17, 1915 by a bill in the California State Legislature, signed by Governor Hiram Johnson. The trail traverses approximately 213.7 miles along California’s Sierra Crest from Yosemite Valley at 4,035’ elevation to the summit of Mt. Whitney at 14,505-foot elevation, the tallest mountain in the contiguous United States.
