What Can I Say About Strider and Indy?? They Are the Best!
I first met Strider and Indy in the summer of 2017 when my father and I thru-hiked the John Muir Trail in early June and July. Strider was there for us every step of the way, giving us up to date information, cheering us on, and giving us the support we needed to forge ahead. Strider and Indy were friends who truly cared about us. I’ve kept in touch with Strider and Indy since we met, planning future adventures together!!”– Sam Chaneles, President, Outdoor Recreation Georgia Tech www.engineeredforadventure.com
Strider is a legend of the High Sierra.
Strider is a legend of the High Sierra. Her vast experience and knowledge of the John Muir and Pacific Crest trails make her an invaluable resource for hikers and climbers planning their Sierra adventure. Living thousands of miles away from California can make planning difficult, but whatever the question or problem, Strider always has a solution. My solo 2019 John Muir Trail through hike would not have been possible without Strider and Indy's logistical support. Thank you!”– Dan
Strider has always been extremely helpful
Strider has always been extremely helpful in providing logistical support for our JMT adventures. Since we are so far away it is nice to have a live person to talk to who has such vast knowledge of the trail and how to hike it.”– Faculty and Students from Outdoor Adventure Center, Ohio State University

Strider Reviewed Our Plan and Provided the Encouragement We Needed.
Two years ago my family was browsing in a used book shop in Maine when we stumbled upon a map of the John Muir Trail. It was right then that the dream began. Since that time we’ve read and researched like crazy to address the many logistical puzzle pieces that would exist for us to complete the trail. Even after countless hours of watching JMT YouTube videos and reading dozens of trip reports we still had questions and missing pieces in our plan.
Then we found Strider, who drawing from her many years of experience throughout the Sierra backcountry was able to provide the insight we needed to pull the pieces of our plan together.”– Steve and Zöe
